Step 1
Mark up 7' 0" from sidewalk or ground on building.
Your city code may require a higher minimum height.
Step 2
From the 7' mark, measure up the side of the building (from
1 to 2) to where you want the awning to stop at the top. This
is your drop. You can go up as high as you would like remembering
that you must maintain a flat plain. We can make off sets,
call one of our Awning Specialist for help.
Step 3
You projection (from 3 to 4) and it can be any length up
to 1 1/2 times your drop.
Step 4
Measure the width (from 5 to 6) for the awning.

Step 5
You can add a vertical face (from 7 to 8) to any hood awning.
You must have at least a 2" fall per projection foot
for the roof. Example: An awning with a 36" drop and
a 60" projection the fall must be at least 10" meaning
your vertical face can be no more than 20". It can be
less, and you could elect not to have any vertical face at
all. |
